About Schleich
Schleich is a german company who have been producing animal miniatures and toys since the mid 1930s. They produce solid plastic figures including a large range of horses as well as a huge selection of accessories.
Schleich are sold either individually or as part of gift sets. There is normally a limited number of colours produced on each mould with new moulds being released each year. As well as individual animals Schleich also produce a large range of accessories including stables and tack.
Schleich models are all produced in approximately the same scale (with the exception of things like dinosaurs and dragons). This is around 1:18 scale and is about the same size as Paddock Pal or Littlebit models.

The Ranges

The Horse Club range was introduced a few years ago when the entire brand underwent a huge overhaul. Within the range are a selection of individual horses, usually featuring a male, female and foal for a breed as well as a large range of accessories and gift sets.
The brand is sold following a story with characters. You can purchase characters from the story with individual rider gift sets featuring named riders and horses. The Horse Club range features a lot of pinks and purples as well as pastel colours, plaited manes and traditionally feminine themes.
Farm World
The Farm World range is what originally included all of the horses and still does contain some horse breeds. As well as horses the range includes a variety of different individual animals, from farm animals to pets and a large selection of accessories and gift sets.
The range features more realistic and traditional colours, such as red roofs and white walls as opposed to the pinks and pastels of the horse club range. The horses tend to be more natural looking without plaits in their manes and tails.
Wild Life
The wild life range, as the name suggests, features wild animals and accessories based around the idea of conservation and a more natural environment.
Within the range of individual animals there are some more exotic equines such as zebras. Many of the individual accessories are also good for use with model horses, such as plants and trees.
Bayala
The Bayala range features fairies, elves and fantasy creatures, including unicorns and pegasi. The range features some individual pieces but is mainly sold as gift sets such as a fairy on board a horse.
Traditionally the Bayala figures had a back story featuring the dark and light elves in a battle. Like the Horse Club range the recent rebranding has brought back the story element to these pieces. Figures are sold with names with their own horses and pets.
Eldrador
The Eldrador range features a selection of knights and fantasy creatures (although the dragons have now been rebranded under the 'dragons' range and are no longer part of Eldrador).
These figures are sold predominantly as sets, such as a knight on horseback. Like the Bayala range these featured a back story with knights in different colours who could battle.
Licensed Figures
Schleich also produce a range of licensed figures including Marvel action heroes and Snoopy models. These are sold individually and very occasionally a part of sets.

This is a really lovely little set that was obviously a stunning custom set up at some point. It includes two Schleich horses, one black pinto and one chestnut pinto. They have bridles which are glued on and are attached to each other. They come with their little cart.
