Commercial resin and china models are resin and china models that are mass produced. They are essentially just original finish models that happen to be made out of resin or china. These models can be distinguished from artist resin and china models as they will be sold painted and mass produced (even if they happen to be a limited edition or a OOAK piece). Just think of them as original finish and you shouldn't get too confused.
Commercial resin and china models may also include things such as commercially produced pewter models or models made out of similar composite materials such as Northlights. It may also include other fragile materials such as glass or crystal.
Commercial resin and china is often abbreviated to CRC.
They are usually grouped together at live shows but some shows may split them into separate divisions. They may also be shown in the original finish division.
A custom painted commercial resin or china is a custom NOT an Artist resin or china.

The Brands
There are a huge number of different china and resin brands and it would be impossible to list all of them! But here are some of the ones you may come across more often:
Breyer
Beswick
Northlight/Wade
Trail of the Painted Ponies
Sandicast
Royal Doulton
Royal Worcester
Hagen Reneker
In the UK commercial resin and china models are very common due to the proliferation of potteries. As well as branded pieces there is a huge number of China produced unbranded chinas. Models come in all kinds of scales, you can even get life size Shetland ponies in some garden centres (and yes people do bring those to live shows)!
