About Animal Artistry
Animal Artistry is a UK brand of model horses specialising in china and resin model horses. It is owned and run by Donna Chaney who also sculpts the beautiful horses they have to offer. The company was started in the 1980s originally producing dogs before moving into horses. They still produce a selection of other animals including dogs and cats.
Animal Artistry horses come in two main types: china and resin. China models are available in both Bone China and Earthenware. Models are either sold painted and produced (often at events or through their retail therapy page) or to order making the model to the new owner's specifications.
In 2015 Animal Artistry started to produce models in rubber known as RubberNedz. More information about these can be found on our RubberNedz page here.

The Ranges
Animal Artistry model horses come in three different types:
Resin
Bone China
Earthenware China
Resin
Resin models are produced using resin in moulds. There is a variety of different moulds available. These can either be purchased completed at shows or through the retail therapy page or ordered to be painted to the colour of your choice.
Occasionally 'seconds' and blank resins are available to purchase at live shows which you can paint yourself.
Bone China
Bone china models are produced using hard wearing bone china. Like the resin horses there are a variety of different moulds available and they can be purchased completed either at shows or through the retail therapy page or ordered to be painted to the colour of your choice.
Occasionally 'seconds' and blanks can be available to purchase which you can paint yourself.
Earthenware China
Earthenware china models are slightly more fragile than bone china horses. They are often available as clay body customs with variations added including cats, bows and new manes and tail. Like the other types they can be purchased either completed through the retail page or at shows or they can be ordered to your own requirements.
Special Editions
Animal Artistry regularly produce models as special runs or editions. These include Connoisseur models produced most years, BreyerFest special runs and Christmas and Halloween specials. These models often feature unique patterns and clay body custom work. They are often produced in limited runs and numbered.

Several other animals are available through Animal Artistry. Although there is not the same number of dogs produced as when they originally started you can still order and buy a small selection of cats and dogs.

Many horses also feature other animals as part of their design. Some horses have cats or birds sat on their back and you can even get horses with kittens looking into pumpkins!
