The Ranges
There are several different types/ranges of Stone Horses. As well as the there scales models can be purchased either in standardised colours or to the owner's exact requirements.
Regular Runs
For several years Peter Stone produced a range of regular run catalogue models. These models were made in larger or open runs on nearly all moulds. These were available direct from Stone or through dealers.
One of a Kind
One of a Kind pieces are not unusual and are regularly produced and sold by Stone Horses. These could be unique paint jobs but they are often factory customs with extreme re-working of the original mould.
Special Runs
Special runs are produced for different events or retailers. Special runs are produced in a very limited run.
In 2011 Chestnut Ridge commissioned a special run, King Arthur. He can be seen at the top of this page.
Factory Customs
Stone Horses produce a selection of standardised moulds. When these moulds are varied they are known as Factory Customs. Factory Customs can vary from a slightly different mane or tail to an extreme body custom that barely resembles the original model.
Design a Horse
The Design a Horse scheme has been run by Peter Stone for several years. This allows people to place an order for a model online choosing the colour and markings. The moulds available vary from time to time as do the patterns and markings. Although most models are unique it is obviously possible for duplicates to exist.
